CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA (December 30, 2016) – A pedestrian was killed after he was struck by a car on Friday evening on Fourth Avenue near F Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 5:20 pm on Fourth Avenue, near F Street. A man was walking across Fourth Avenue when he was abruptly struck by a 2007 Chevy Silverado heading southbound on Fourth Avenue.

Paramedics responded immediately and rushed the pedestrian to the hospital, but he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
