40 year old Christine Novak was traveling north on Highway 73 around 2:00 pm on Friday, in a Nissan van towing a camper. A semi truck reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign on County Highway E, and crashed into the van.

Christine Novak was rushed to the hospital, but she tragically succumbed to her injures on Saturday. One of the seven children inside the minivan was airlifted to the hospital in unknown condition, and three others were taken by ambulance.

The driver of the semi truck, identified as Patrick Craft, was also hospitalized. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
