CHICAGO: Police Pursuit Results in CTA Bus Crash, Four Injured on 43rd Street and LaSalle Street

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (December 21, 2016) – A police pursuit ended with a crash into a CTA bus on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of LaSalle and 43rd, according to a local news source. (map)

Police were pursuing a car carrying robbery suspects in the 4000 block of South Langley near 43rd and LaSalle when the vehicle suddenly crashed into a CTA bus. The suspects then fled on foot, but were apprehended shortly after.

The driver of the CTA bus and three passengers were taken to Mercy Hospital and St Bernard Hospital with unspecified injuries. The accident remains under investigation to determine liability.
