CASSEL, CALIFORNIA (January 2, 2017) – At least one person was injured after a two car collision on Highway 299 on Monday afternoon, according to local news sources. (map)
The accident happened around 4:39 pm on Highway 99 near Hat Creek Park. A Toyota Corolla and a second unidentified vehicle collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused one vehicle to rollover and catch on fire, trapping a passenger inside.
Fire crew responded and were able to extinguish the fire and rescue the trapped party. At least one person was injured in the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
