CARMEL VALLEY: 58-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Vehicle Collision on Carmel Valley Road.

“Motorcycle vs. Truck Collision”

CARMEL VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (July 6, 2017) – A 58-year-old motorcyclist was involved in a deadly collision on Carmel Valley Road near Selfridge Lane Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)

The fatal collision happened just after 12:00 p.m. when the driver o a pickup truck, later identified as a 69-year-old male, traveling westbound maneuvered around a parked vehicle and ended up in the eastbound lane of the road. The pickup truck and motorcycle collided causing the rider to be ejected from the bike, according to CHP.

The motorcyclist died as a result of the collision.  An investigation is ongoing.
