CANYON COUNTRY, CALIFORNIA (December 26, 2016) – A 17 year old female was killed after being hit by a car on Sierra Highway on Monday evening, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 8:30 pm in the 27500 block of Sierra Highway. A 17 year old unidentified female was struck by a car on the highway for unknown reasons, and the vehicle immediately fled the scene.

The teenager was tragically confirmed to have been killed in the collision by responding medical personnel. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability, and authorities are attempting to find the person that hit the teenager.
