CANYON COUNTRY, CALIFORNIA (December 26, 2016) – 15 year old Desiree Renee Lawson is dead after a hit and run collision occurred on the 27500 block of Sierra Highway on Monday, December 26, 2016.

The tragic incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. According to police officials, Lawson was crossing the northbound lanes of Sierra Highway when the driver of an unidentified vehicle fatally struck Lawson.

The vehicle fled the scene.

According to calls received from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station, the driver of the unidentified vehicle was believed to be a Hispanic male with a mustache and goatee, wearing flannel clothing.
