CAMARILLO, CA (February 23, 2017) – A dual rear-end vehicle collision occurred on Thursday afternoon on Highway 101 near the Conejo Grade. (map)
The crash occurred at about 2:05 p.m. The vehicles involved were a white Mitsubishi Galant and a black Lexus. After one of the vehicles rear-ended the other, both cars crashed into the center divider. A woman became trapped in one of the vehicles. She was found to be breathing was was in and out of consciousness. Emergency and rescue workers attended to her and she was transferred via ambulance to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.
Debris from the crash was scattered all along the roadway. Ventura County Fire Department and Eddie’s Towing handled the rescue and clearing operations. The accident is still under investigation.
