CALHAN, COLORADO (May 7, 2017) – An Air Force Academy cadet died on Sunday in a tragic skydiving accident, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 1:00 pm near the 22500 block of Jones Road near Ellicott. A male cadet was reportedly skydiving through a non-military private company when something went wrong.

The male cadet was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The incident remains under active investigation by local law enforcement. The skydiving company was not identified in the news source, however “Out of the Blue Skydiving” is located nearby at 3060 Flying View in Calhan.
