CALIFORNIA CITY, CALIFORNIA (January 18, 2017) – A pedestrian identified as Cindy Johnson was tragically killed after being hit by a drunk driver on Wednesday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 7:53 pm on California City Boulevard. 36 year old Cindy Ann Johnson was crossing the street when she was struck by a 65 year old drunk driver.

Cindy Ann Johnson was airlifted to a local hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver that struck her has been identified as 65 year old Charles Philip Walker. Walker was arrested for DUI and the investigation is ongoing.
