BUTTONWILLOW, CA (February 12, 2017) – A semi-truck and sedan collide on the northbound 5 Freeway, south of Lerdo Highway on Sunday morning. (map)
The accident occurred at about 7:50 a.m., according to a CHP report. A beige Acura sedan and white semi truck tractor trailer crashed into one another for unspecified reasons. The beige sedan ended up spinning out of control as a result and ended up on the center divider. The semi truck ended up positioned on the right shoulder of the highway.
Emergency crews and paramedics also arrived at the scene to find the driver of the sedan already outside the vehicle and in shock from their injuries. The injured driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. An investigation is still ongoing to determine cause and liability.
“Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California car accident and personal injury law firm.
“Parties injured are strongly advised to go to a nearby medical center following a traffic collision if one denies emergency assistance. It can sometimes take several days after the initial collision for pains to set in so it’s recommended to get checked out. All injured drivers and passengers are subject to a claim against the negligent motorist responsible,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, an Ontario car accident and personal injury law firm.
