A train collision left a female pedestrian seriously injured after she was struck the train on Broadway and Memorial Drive in Buffalo.

BUFFALO, NEW YORK (February 21, 2017) – A female pedestrian was struck by a train and injured on Tuesday evening off of Broadway, near Memorial Drive. (map)

The accident happened just before midnight. A pedestrian, identified only as a female, was struck by an unknown train. The crew of a Canadian National train operating nearby discovered the pedestrian on the tracks. The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she is undergoing surgery for serious injuries.

The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
