BUCKEYE, ARIZONA (October 9, 2017) – A small plane with two people on board crashed on Monday afternoon near Buckeye, according to a local news source. (map)

THe accident happened around 4:15 pm in a desert area near Buckeye. A 1992 Nanchang China CJ-6 en route to Goodyear from Las Vegas crashed for an unknown reason, landing upright on collapsed landing gear.

The pilot and passenger were both injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital in unknown condition. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
