BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (May 11, 2017) – Fifteen people were injured after a city bus crashed in Brooklyn on Thursday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:30 am on Avenue D and East 40th Street. A city bus was heading through the intersection when it collided with a green four door sedan.
Thirteen people suffered minor injuries on the bus and two other passengers suffered more serious injuries. An unknown number of people were taken to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time, however initial reports indicate the bus suffered heavy front end damage and the passenger vehicle sustained drivers side damages.
