BOULDER, COLORADO (June 21, 2017) – 14 people were injured after a Regional Transportation District bus was involved in an accident on Wednesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident was first reported around 8:30-9:00 am, on Arapahoe Avenue near 63rd Street and 75th Street. A vehicle reportedly traveling eastbound on Arapahoe Avenue, turned into the bus which was traveling westbound. The impact sent the bus off the road and off the edge of a sidewalk, where it was “caught” by several trailers in the parking lot.
Fourteen people reported sustaining injuries as a result of the accident. Only one was supposedly on board the bus at the time of the accident. This crash came after a March 20th crash between an RTD bus a van, and a semi truck at 66th Street and Arapahoe Avenue, just a few blocks away. The cause of the June 21st crash is still under investigation at this time.
