BLYTHE, CALIFORNIA (January 6, 2017) – An 84 year old man from Brownsville identified as Gregorio Ponce Otero was killed in a tragic accident early Friday morning after an accident on Highway 95, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:39 pm on Highway 95, near mile marker 11.5. A vehicle was found on its roof in the roadway with one man inside.

Gregorio Ponce Otero, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the accident. An investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability in this tragic accident.
