BLOOMFIELD: Woman Struck by Train on Montclair-Boonton Line

BLOOMFIELD, NEW JERSEY (October 30, 2017) – A female pedestrian was struck by a train and killed near Watsessing Avenue Train Station on Monday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 9:30 am at a train crossing near Watsessing Avenue Train Station. A woman was reportedly struck by a NJ Transit train that was heading from Montclair State University to New York Penn Station.

The woman was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability at this time.
