BERMUDA DUNES, CALIFORNIA (February 21, 2017) – A 12-year-old girl riding a bicycle was struck by an SUV on Tuesday afternoon on Washington Street, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Big O Tires in the 42098 block of Washington Street. The girl was riding her bicycle in the parking lot when she was struck by a silver SUV, believed to be a Ford. The girl sustained injures ranging from minor to moderate and was taken to John F Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio.
The driver that struck the girl immediately fled the scene. Police are still searching for the driver and investigating the accident at this time.
