BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (January 30, 2017) – Two cars were involved in a collision on Monday on the 80 Freeway near Highway 13, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:11 pm on the westbound side of the 80 Freeway near Highway 13. A black Hyundai and a Jeep Patriot collided for unknown reasons. Initial reports indicate the collision may have been a rear end, as the Hyundai had sustained front end damages and the Jeep had rear end damages.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene after a report of injuries. Towing services also responded to help move the affected vehicles off the freeway. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
