BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (February 8, 2017) – According to the Berkeley Police Department, a bicyclist was struck and killed by a car on Wednesday morning on Sacramento Street and Ada Street. (map)

The BPD reported that a car crashed into the bicyclist around 7:07 a.m. The identities of the driver and bicyclist have not been released. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the BPD.

The BPD stated that the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
