BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (February 8, 2017) – A bicyclist was hit by a car and killed on Wednesday near the intersection of Sacramento Street and Ada Street, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:07 am on Wednesday. A bicyclist, identified only as possibly being an elderly male, was struck by an unidentified vehicle.
A Good Samaritan at the scene performed CPR prior to paramedics arriving, but the bicyclist was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Initial reports indicate he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, which is ongoing.
