Man breaks both legs after falling through a skylight
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT: Man Injured After Going Through Skylight at Rooftop Party

“Skylight Malfunction”

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, NEW YORK (June 25, 2017) – a 25-year-old man sustained major injuries while attending a rooftop party at a four-story building on Malcolm X Boulevard early Sunday morning, according to the New York Post. (map)

The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. when the glass skylight 25-year-old man was standing on gave way. The man fell down a shaft five stories before landing and broke both of his legs.

Rescue crews had to use extrication method in order to free the man from the shaft. The man was transported to Kings County Hospital for treatment of the injures sustained in the fall.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
