BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA (January 1, 2017) – A man was killed in a tragic solo vehicle crash on Sunday on the 60 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 4:40 am on the 60 Freeway, near the Interstate 10 merger. A 45 year old man was traveling in his 2005 Honda Civic when he lost control on the rain slicked roadway and drove onto the north shoulder, and spun out before crashing into a metal guardrail.

The single occupant of the vehicle, a 45 year old male from Compton, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
