Fatal Pedestrian Collision Under Investigation
BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA (December 12, 2016) – According to the Riverside County coroner’s office, a woman was killed after she was hit by a car on Highway 79 early Monday morning.
The accident happened at about 3:28 p.m. on State Route 79, one mile south of California Avenue. (map)
A preliminary investigation revealed Angelina Partridge was lying on the roadway of Highway 79 when she was hit by a 2006 Kia Spectra driven by Cynthia Tripp, 55, of Hemet.
Sadly, Angelina Partridge was pronounced dead at the scene. Tripp was uninjured in the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash and why Angelina Partridge was in the road.
