BASALT, COLORADO (December 22, 2016) – Efforts are currently underway to extract the driver of a pickup truck that was pinned inside their vehicle after a load of sheetrock was dumped onto it, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened just after noon at the intersection of Willits Lane and Highway 82. A vehicle carrying a large load of sheet rock rolled onto its side for unknown reasons, dumping a load of sheet rock and other construction materials onto a nearby pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was trapped inside their vehicle after the accident, and efforts are still underway to extricate them from the crushed vehicle. Their condition is unknown. The rescue efforts and investigation are both ongoing.
