BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (February 7, 2017) – Two men were injured in a hit and run on Union Avenue and Planz Road on Tuesday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened on Union Avenue near Planz Road. A green pickup truck heading southbound on Union dislodged a trailer that then crossed the center divider, and then struck a BARC van. The van was then forced into a fence and several road signs in front of Rick’s Recycling.
The two occupants inside the van were injured, and hospitalized. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene but was later apprehended and identified as 45 year old Gabriel Parr. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
