The CHP reported that a 25-year-old woman was traveling southbound on Chester Avenue around 7:30 a.m. when she may have fallen asleep at the wheel and crashed into the restaurant.
The CHP states that the driver of the vehicle and a waitress sustained minor injuries. No customers were injured. The woman was carrying two children in the car and they were unharmed.
“According to experts, drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
