The accident happened at the intersection of Chester Avenue and California Avenue sometime on Wednesday evening. An 18 year old student at Bakersfield High School was struck by an unidentified vehicle at the intersection.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
