BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (MARCH 19, 2017) – A Bakersfield Police Officer and a passenger in another vehicle were injured Saturday in a crash on southbound Cottonwood Road near Bradshaw Street. (map)
According to police reports, the Police vehicle was merging into the southbound flow of traffic on Cottonwood, and collided into another southbound vehicle.
The officer and the passenger in the other vehicle both reported injuries. The passenger in the other vehicle was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Drugs and alcohol were not thought to be a factor in the collision.
