BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (April 12, 2017) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit and run accident on Taft Highway on Wednesday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 10:48 am on Taft Highway near South Union Avenue. A pedestrian was reportedly walking along the highway when she was struck by a black Jeep that immediately fled the scene.
The pedestrian was injured, and an ambulance responded to the scene. Her current condition is unknown, but the accident remains under active investigation by the California Highway Patrol at this time.
