BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (December 10, 2016) – A female pedestrian was killed on Saturday when they were struck by a car on Edison Highway, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:00 pm on Edison Highway near Mt. Vernon Avenue. A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified car in the roadway.

The pedestrian, identified only as a 35 year old female, was rushed to Kern Medical Center in critical condition and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
