
“Big Rig Collision”
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (January 19, 2017) – A semi-truck and a white car were involved in a collision on Highway 99 on Thursday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident occurred around 1:09 pm on the southbound side of Highway 99 near Rosedale Highway (Highway 132). A big-rig and a smaller white vehicle collided for unknown reasons, blocking several lanes.
At least one person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel. The condition of others involved in the accident is unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
