The accident happened around 10:54 am near 24th Street and Alder Street. A medical transport van rear ended a semi truck carrying electrical poles for an unknown reason, and the poles impaled the van.

At least one person, identified as Abel Valenzuela, was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were injured in the accident. The driver of the semi-truck was not one of those injured, according to the source. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.

“Police will gather evidence and conduct interviews with the drivers and witnesses to determine liability” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident.”
