BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (January 23, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, several injuries were reported on Monday in a 15 vehicle collision on the Interstate 5 in the Fort Tejon area. (map)
The CHP reported that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Grapevine Road around 4:00 a.m. when the driver lost control and collided with the center median. Another vehicle was unable to avoid the collision and crashed into the first vehicle that was blocking the Number 1 lane.
The CHP states that a total of nine people were injured and five out of the nine were hospitalized.
