BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (December 12, 2016) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was struck and killed on Friday by two cars on Wayne Drive and Belle Terrace. (map)
The CHP reported that the man was hit by two separate vehicles around 6:30 p.m. The identity of the male pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of family. It is unknown where speed was a factor in this collision.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a personal injury law firm.
