Filomeno De Haro Martinez was rushed to Kern Medical Center, where he sadly died a short time later. The driver of the delivery truck initially did not stop, but returned to the scene and cooperated with police. The investigation is ongoing.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
