A 10-year-old girl was injured when a semi-truck and pick-up truck collided at the intersection of Highway 58 near Mohawk Street in Bakersfield, California at around 5:10 a.m.
The semi and pickup trucks crashed for reasons unknown and caused a traffic hazard in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The crash also was the cause of several other vehicles pulling over on the right shoulder of Mohawk Street. There was a lot of debris scattered in the roadway.
One of the injured parties, the mother of the injured 10-year-old girl, called an ambulance. The little girl had hit her head on the vehicle window. Emergency crews were able to respond and give the little girl proper medical attention. The accident is still being investigated.
