“Hit-and-run drunk driver arrested”
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (February 4, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, 22-year-old bicyclist Andrea Christine Webb was severely injured after she was struck by a DUI hit-and-run driver on Sequoia Drive and Sharon Place. (map)
The CHP reported that a pickup truck, driven by 30-year-old Adam Russell Goss, was traveling southbound on Sequoia Drive around 9:50 p.m. when he crossed over a double-yellow line and crashed head-on into Webb as she rode a bicycle in the northbound lane of Sharon Place. Goss fled the scene of the accident and was later apprehended at a home near the area.
The CHP stated that Webb was transported to Kern Medical Center with critical injuries.
