The accident occurred around 7:45 pm on Thursday evening in the 700 block of North Vernon Avenue. A 6 year old boy was walking across the street along with his mother, outside of a marked crosswalk, when he was struck by a southbound pickup truck.

The little boy was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, including head trauma and internal injuries. The accident remains under investigation, and the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with local authorities.

“Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident,” said a California car accident and personal injury lawyer.
