AUDRAIN COUNTY, MISSOURI (December 20, 2016) – Melissa Hodde and Stephanie Stevens were injured after their vehicle was struck by a train on County Road 577 on Tuesday morning, according to local news sources. (map)
The accident happened on County Road 577 near Highway 54 in Audrain County. Melissa Hodde attempted to cross the tracks in her 1999 Jeep Wrangler, and was subsequently struck by a 1967 G.E. Locomotive.
Melissa Hodde and her passenger, 37 year old Stephanie Stevens, were both badly injured in the accident and were airlifted to a nearby hospital. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
