AZUSA, CALIFORNIA (March 19, 2017) – A police pursuit ended in a horrific head on collision on Cerritos Avenue on Sunday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened on Cerritos Avenue, near Gladstone Avenue. A silver Dodge Caravan minivan was apparently fleeing from a San Dimas sheriff’s deputy when the silver van crashed into another, unidentified vehicle head on. The driver of the minivan immediately fled on foot.
The two people inside the second vehicle were rushed to a trauma center in unknown condition. The driver of the van was apprehended a short distance from the crash scene by Good Samaritans, and was arrested by local authorities. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
