The accident happened around 8:00 pm on Tuesday, near Freeport Road and Waterworks Drive. John Towle was hit by a train at the intersection, which was heading east at the time.

John Towle was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the collision by responding paramedics. The investigation is ongoing at this time to determine why Towle was struck by the train.
