ASHLEY COUNTY, ARKANSAS (February 27, 2017) – An 38 year old woman was killed in a head on collision with a semi-truck on Monday afternoon on Highway 82, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Highway 82, near County Road 121 on Monday afternoon. A 38 year old woman identified as Jena Christine Hester was traveling eastbound on Highway 82 when she veered into westbound lanes for an unknown reason and collided head on with a westbound semi truck.

Jena Hester was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel. The condition of the semi-truck driver is unknown at this time, however the big rig sustained heavy front end damage. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
