ASHLAND, MASSACHUSETTS (February 27, 2017) – A teenage boy was killed after he was struck by a train on Monday night near Fountain Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened at 10:20 p.m. on the overpass near Fountain Street and Concord Street. A 17-year-old male pedestrian, identified as a Ashland High School student, was struck by a train and killed.

The teenager, identified as Brendan Petry, was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
