Injuries Reported in Pedestrian Crash at Highway 101 and Highway 255
ARCATA, CA – A pedestrian was injured in a collision that occurred last night at around 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 101, Samoa Boulevard, and Highway 255.
According to a Police Report, a pedestrian was standing on the road when they were hit by an unknown vehicle. The pedestrian sustained injuries in the crash. How or why the crash happened is still being investigated.
Fire and emergency crews arrived at the scene to attend to the injured victim. The accident is still under investigation.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
