ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA (December 29, 2016) – A man was killed on Thursday morning after he was hit by a train on the Metro Gold Line tracks, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident was first reported around 12:12 am near the Arcadia Station at 200 First Avenue. A pedestrian identified only as a male, was struck by a train in the area.

The man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing at this time. The pedestrian remains unidentified at this time. Nobody on board the train reported any injuries.
