Alex Cerna Arrested After Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA (December 14, 2016) – A 77-year-old woman was killed and a man was arrested after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Arcadia on Wednesday, reported ABC news.
The deadl crash occurred at about 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Baldwin and Arcadia Avenues. (map)
The victim, identified only as a 77-year-old woman from Arcadia, was crossing the street when she was hit by a vehicle heading north on Baldwin Avenue.
Sadly, the woman was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Witnesses were able to provide investigators with a vehicle description and license plate number.
Officers tracked down the suspect driver, identified as 51-year-old Alex Cerna, of Pasadena, at his home and arrested him for gross vehicular manslaughter, felony driving under the influence, and felony hit and run.
