APPLE VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (January 26, 2017) – One person was airlifted after an accident on Highway 18 on Thursday night, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:00 pm at the intersection of Highway 19 and Bass Hill Road. A woman driving a silver sedan was heading west on Highway 18 when she crashed into a Jeep SUV for unknown reasons. The impact caused the Jeep to overturn, pinning a woman inside.
The woman inside the Jeep had to be extricated using the Jaws of Life, and was flown to a trauma center in unknown condition. The driver of the silver sedan was reportedly unharmed in the accident. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
