The accident happened around 3:33 am at the intersection of Howell Mountain Road and Linda Falls Terrace. 25 year old Christopher Stanton was driving a 2000 Acura southbound on Howell Mountain Road when he suddenly lost control for an unknown reason and hit a tree near the intersection. The impact caused the car to burst into flames.
Christopher Stanton was tragically killed in the accident. The accident remains under open investigation as authorities attempt to determine cause and liability.
