QUINTON, VIRGINIA (August 19, 2017) – A flight instructor was killed in a small plane crash on Friday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 11:05 am. The instructor, identified as 38 year old Andrew M. Jones, was operating a Tecnam fixed wing single engine plane at the New Kent County Airport. He was practicing touch and go landings with a student pilot when something went wrong and the plane crashed.
Andrew Jones was tragically killed in the crash. The student pilot with Andrew Jones suffered minor injuries after the accident. The crash remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
